Hello World!

Let the blogging begin!

I can't pinpoint an exact reason for starting this blog, but I can tell you that its been a process, a long process at that. Lets rewind to 2009. I finished two years of graduate school in May, moved and bought a house in June and got hitched to the ol' ball and chain in October. Wowza, what a year!

Hmmm... collegiate career - check,  marriage - check, buy first home - check, start a successful career- BOMB! I graduated at the lowest of low (economically speaking - not my class rank!) armed with a fancy MBA that no one seemed to care about. Needless to say, life has been interesting. Thank you Lordy for my wonderful sugar daddy of a husband.

Initially, I was slightly depressed when employers weren't calling me back, you know the kind of depression where you lay in bed, watch Law & Order re-runs and enjoy the company of  Ben & Jerry. But I got over it and decided to further educate myself -- the class was called Domestication! Really, I started reading through the Joy of Cooking, trying recipes here and there; received a sewing machine for Christmas, bought a beginners sewing book; and finally learned to knit.

Plus, I started thrift store shopping. It became an obsession in a way. I scouted local thrift stores for deals and boy oh boy did I find some fun stuff. Then one day I decided that maybe I could make some money in my spare time (and trust me, I have a lot of spare time) by selling these kitschy little items on Etsy. So I did. Say hello to YelloHello (see my sidebar).

Sooo...this blog will have a little bit of everything that I love, that I learn, and that I find inspirational and share-worthy.You might see some:

-Rad Music
-and whatever else is on my mind.
